Consent is an important topic to learn about and there is always more to learn. We continue to define what consent means to us and each other. There are also a lot of different situations that have never really been modeled for people. The purpose of the Consent Made Simple series is to provide examples of positive examples of consent being properly observed from a variety of different situations and viewpoints. These scenarios apply to any person of any gender.
Episode 9
Episode 9 gives us a couple in bed. One person brings up that they would like to try anal sex. The other person admits that they don’t know much or have ever tried it before. The person suggesting then has the opportunity to find out if their partner is even open to learning about anal sex. They acknowledge that it can be hard to make a decision that isn’t properly informed so they suggest learning about it together.
It’s always good to learn about different types of sex before trying them. It can help you and your partner avoid discomfort, complications, and bad experiences.
