There are also a lot of different situations that have never really been modeled for people. The purpose of the Consent Made Simple series is to provide examples of positive examples of consent being properly observed from a variety of different situations and viewpoints. These scenarios apply to any person of any gender.

There are a lot of ways that consent applies in everyday situations. If we are going to respect the body of another person, this can extend to really simple forms of interaction. In this episode, one person wishes to give the other a hug. Instead of asking, they open up their arms and indicate that they are a hug person. This gives the other person a chance to respond with their choice.Â
Respecting bodily autonomy means including these simple ways of practicing and respecting consent in your everyday interactions. This extends beyond those who you have a romantic or sexual interest in.Â
