In this live episode, we talked about what hookup culture is. We delved into how many people are engaging in casual sex or have in the past. We also took a look at some of the cultural norms that have emerged for the expectations for taking part in hookup culture.

Hookups have some pros and cons and we explored a bit of both. We focused on some of the drawbacks that people report when they continue having casual sex over an extended period of time. We also broke it down by gender and took a look at some of the ways casual sex impacts people of different genders.

Communication can be important but difficult in casual relationships and we took a look at some of the norms and how they can be challenged for better outcomes. We also went over some of the risks of casual sex and what people should look out for.

Finally, we addressed how hookup culture may look different in the face of the COVID pandemic, how it might change in the future, and what people should expect.
